I got sad news recently, two dogs I had the pleasure of working with this past year have left us, Joey and Tucker. Each had a different family and each had a different story but both lived very wonderful lives.

Joey’s family said he was the protector and nurturer of their home and was a joyful, loving soul. He brought an always happy energy to their house. I photographed him with his two other dog buddies, and he definitely had that energy during both our meet ups.

Tucker surprised us all and kept on going for over a year after we had our photo shoot. His family said he brought 15 years of smiles and laughs to them and they couldn’t have asked for more. He was a great road trip companion and traveled coast to coast many times and between Park City and Seattle frequently.

Both great dogs and both will be very missed by their respective families and friends. I’m personally grateful for meeting and working with both of these wonderful families and their beloved dogs. And so happy we got to capture both of these guys in many, many images so they can be remembered and admired for years to come.

Joey is the stunning yellow lab and Tuck the amazing golden. Rest in peace boys, you deserve it.

Thank you for your sensitive and much appreciated sentiments. Joey was indeed the nurturer and caregiver in our daughters’ household. He was endearing and truly brought years of memories to each in our family…especially Pamela, our daughter and the one he loved best! Sailor and Marley miss their “brother” but we are all so grateful he walked with us these past 10 years. We’ll cherish your wonderful photographs and remember our Joey and all of his antics during your photo sessions. Thanks for sharing your photography skills and sharing in the lives of our dogs.ReplyCancel

It’s been a few years, but I finally got to return to Furburbia/Friends of Animals to take some photos of dogs needing homes and looking for love. I enjoyed working with each and every one of them and was very grateful for a few helping hands! Here they are in order: Mystique is exuberant energy. Isis is simply a stunner, gorgeous. Asher, cool as a cucumber but still friendly. Reuben, a cuddle monkey. Trout has the most amazing color patterns and is a big gentleman. Chadwick has adventure in his eyes, he was a cool little guy. Check out Friends of Animals or Furburbia here in Park City to meet any of these fabulous dogs!
